4.25. Removal and installation of the engine

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a cowl.
2. Remove the accumulator.
3. Block back wheels, lift a forward part of the car and record on supports.
4. If the engine understands, merge engine oil and remove an oil filter. Merge cooling liquid from the cooling system.

5. Perform the following operations:

– disconnect an air branch pipe of a turbocharger from a casing of the air filter;
– disconnect a cooling system hose from a broad tank, the block of cylinders and a radiator, then unscrew 2 nuts fixing a hose to a head of the block of cylinders and take it from a motor compartment;
– remove a casing of the air filter and close an inlet opening of a turbocharger;
– disconnect the pressurization heat exchanger from a hose of an inlet collector;
– disconnect arms from a back part of an inlet collector;
– remove a vacuum hose, the connecting vacuum pump and the vacuum amplifier of brakes;
– unscrew bolts of fastening of the pump of the amplifier of steering and move the pump aside, without disconnecting from it hoses;
– mark and disconnect electric sockets and wires from the oil pressure sensor (about the accumulator), the main plait of wires (about the vacuum amplifier of brakes), the generator and candles of an incandescence;
– disconnect the giving and returnable fuel hoses from the fuel pump and close them traffic jams;
– disconnect an accelerator cable;
– weaken collars and disconnect two hoses of the cooling system from the accelerator of start of the cold engine on the fuel pump and two hoses from a thermostat casing;
– disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from a turbocharger flange;
– weaken collars and disconnect hoses of supply of cooling liquid to a head and the block of cylinders of the engine.
6. Disconnect electric wires from a starter, sensors of level and temperature of oil. Unscrew a bolt of fastening of the tire of grounding from the transmission.
7. Unscrew bolts of fastening of the pump of the amplifier of steering and move the pump aside, without disconnecting from it hoses.
8. Unscrew and remove a protective cover of a case of coupling.
9. Remove coupling.
10. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft. The pulley of a bent shaft fastens one central bolt which also fixes a pulley of a gear belt. It is necessary for prevention of a provorachivaniye of a bent shaft that the assistant included any transfer and pressed a brake.
11. Access to a pulley of a bent shaft is most convenient from under an arch of the right forward wheel after removal of a wheel.
12. Hook on captures load-lifting механиз ма for the power unit and lift until the weight of the power unit is not perceived by the load-lifting mechanism.
13. From the top part of a motor compartment unscrew two of three top bolts of fastening of the transmission to the engine.
14. Unscrew the right arm of fastening of the power unit from a body and the block of cylinders of the engine and take it from under the car.
15. Unscrew four lower bolts of fastening of the transmission to the engine.
16. Support the transmission by a jack through wooden whetstone and unscrew the remained top bolt of fastening of the transmission.
17. Move the engine from the transmission and, being careful, take the engine from a motor compartment up.
18. After removal of the engine for support of the transmission establish a board between a case of coupling and the lower frame and take a jack from under the transmission.

Installation


Prevention

At installation of the engine it is necessary to use new bolts of fastening of arms of the left and right support to a body.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Using a tap of M10x1,25 clear a carving in fastening openings гидротран a sformator and prepare new bolts of fastening.
2. Support the transmission by a jack through wooden whetstone and take a board which supported the transmission.
3. Using the load-lifting mechanism and being careful, lower the engine in a motor compartment.
4. Moving the engine to the transmission, connect them, at the same time the transmission has to be installed on the directing pins in the block of cylinders. Screw in three top bolts of fastening of the transmission to the engine.
5. Tighten nuts and bolts the required moment.
6. If coupling is screwed by bolts on a flywheel, be careful that the transmission did not freeze up on entrance to a shaft.
7. Screw in four lower bolts of fastening of the transmission to the engine, but do not tighten them finally.
8. Establish the right arm of the power unit and bolts screw it on the block of cylinders, having tightened them the required moment.
9. If necessary move the power unit before combination of openings and, using new bolts, screw the right arm of fastening of the power unit on a body and tighten fastening bolts the required moment.
10. Tighten bolts of fastening of the transmission to the engine the required moment, then disconnect the load-lifting mechanism from the engine and take a jack from under the transmission.
11. Establish a protective cover on a coupling case.
12. Establish coupling.
13. Establish a reception exhaust pipe.
14. Establish a pulley of a bent shaft in the sequence, the return to removal.
15. Lower the car on the earth.
16. In the sequence, to removal establish the return all earlier removed wires, tubes and hoses.
17. In the presence, install the pump of the amplifier of steering, adjust a tension of a driving belt of the pump and remove air from hydraulic system.
18. Install the generator and adjust a tension of a driving belt.
19. Install the case of the air filter.
20. Establish a new oil filter and fill in oil in the engine.
21. Fill in cooling liquid in the cooling system.
22. Establish a cowl.
23. Connect a weight wire to the accumulator.
