2.9.2. Separation of the transmission from the engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Install the power unit on sootvt stvuyushchy bars. Using kerosene or solvent and a rigid brush, clear the power unit of dirt.

2. Unscrew and remove a protective cover of a case of coupling.

3. Check that the engine and the transmission are reliably fixed, then unscrew bolts of fastening of the transmission to the engine.

4. Being careful, separate the transmission from the engine so that the weight of the transmission did not press an entrance shaft.

5. On models with the automatic transmission unscrew three bolts and remove a protective cover of coupling. Before unscrewing of bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer, using chalk or a marker, note position of the hydrotransformer in relation to a drive plate.

Prevention

For removal and installation of the engine it is necessary to use the winch and the lifting device. If from the automatic transmission even the hydrotransformer partially is removed considerable leak of liquid can take place. For prevention of leak of liquid, being careful, disconnect the engine from the transmission and press the hydrotransformer to the transmission. If there is a need to remove the transmission from the car, fix the hydrotransformer, having screwed bolts on a coupling case metal strips.

Wrench for a bolt of fastening of a pulley turn a bent shaft of the engine before emergence of the first bolt of fastening of the hydrotransformer. The screw-driver for a gear wreath record a flywheel from a provorachivaniye and unscrew a bolt of fastening of the hydrotransformer. Similarly unscrew the remained bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer.
