2.23. Hydraulic pushers of valves

GENERAL INFORMATION

On engines with the big term of operation perhaps pollution got in the hydraulic valve therefore it is recommended to sort and clear every time when dismantling a head of the block of cylinders hydraulic pushers. Spare parts to hydraulic pushers do not go on sale therefore at failure of any detail of a pusher it is necessary to replace a hydraulic pusher assembled.

Details of a hydraulic pusher

1 – bearing;
2 – plunger;
3 – ball;
4 – small spring;
5 – cover;
6 – big spring;
7 – cylinder

Installation of a ball (1) in a nest (2) in the plunger basis

Arrangement of a small spring (1) in a cover and a ball (2) in a plunger nest

Use of the screw-driver for installation of a cover in a plunger flute

Installation of a big spring on a plunger cover

Installation of a plunger with a spring in the cylinder of a hydraulic pusher

Installation of the bearing
At installation of the bearing (1) it has to be recorded accurately in a flute of the cylinder of a pusher (2).

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. After dismantling of a head of the block of cylinders check a condition of nests of pushers in a head. If nests of pushers are worn-out, replace a head of the block of cylinders. Also check a condition of openings in a head of the block of cylinders for supply of oil to hydraulic pushers.
2. Consistently, since a pusher of the valve of the first cylinder, being careful, remove the bearing from the top part of the cylinder of a hydraulic pusher. Take a plunger and a spring from the cylinder of a hydraulic pusher.
3. An edge of the small screw-driver, being careful, uncover the basis of a plunger and take a spring and a ball.
4. Clear details of a hydraulic pusher kerosene or solvent and wipe or dry up pusher details. Check a condition of springs and in the presence of damages or deformation replace a hydraulic pusher assembled.
5. Oil details of a hydraulic pusher pure engine and collect a pusher.
6. Turn a plunger and insert a ball into an opening in the plunger basis (see rice. Installation of a ball in a nest in the plunger basis).
7. Establish a small spring in a plunger cover, then, being careful, establish a cover with a spring. Check that the spring draws in a ball. Using a screw-driver edge, press a cover into a plunger flute (see rice. An arrangement of a small spring (1) in a cover and a ball (2) in a plunger nest, Use of the screw-driver for installation of a cover in a plunger flute).
8. Establish a big spring on a plunger cover (see rice. Installation of a big spring on a plunger cover).
9. Insert a plunger with a spring into the pusher cylinder (see rice. Installation of a plunger with a spring in the cylinder of a hydraulic pusher).
10. Install the bearing on the top part of a plunger and, being careful, hands squeeze a plunger before accurate fixing of the bearing in a pusher cylinder flute (see rice. Installation of the bearing).
