2.37. Start of the engine after capital repairs

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On the engine installed in a motor compartment of the car check levels of engine oil and cooling liquid. Check that all earlier removed wires and hoses are established on the places.
2. On cars with petrol engines disconnect the electric socket from the block of ignition and remove the relay of the fuel pump. Turn the engine a starter until the control lamp of pressure of oil does not go out then connect электричес a cue the socket to the block of ignition and install the relay of the fuel pump.
3. Start the engine. Start of the engine can be more long, than usually because of shutdown of fuel system.
4. During the operation of the engine idling check existence of leak of fuel, cooling liquid and oil. At this stage of operation of the engine the smell and smoke from heated parts of the engine at burning out of the oil which got on the engine at assembly can be observed.
5. The engine has to idle until cooling liquid does not heat up that will be felt through the top hose of a radiator. Then switch off the engine.
6. After cooling of the engine check the level of oil and cooling liquid.
7. At installation in the engine of new pistons, piston rings or bearings of a bent shaft it is necessary to make an engine running in during the run of the first 800 km. Do not operate the engine with completely open butterfly valve or under big loading with a low frequency of rotation of the engine. It is recommended to replace oil and an oil filter at the end of the running in period.
