Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. On engines since 1993 the modified spring of the automatic mechanism of a tension of a gear belt is established (see rice. Elements of the automatic mechanism of a tension of a gear belt). On a design the mechanism of a tension is similar earlier being established, but operations on removal and installation differ. |
2. The main casing of a gear belt fastens to a back casing spring brackets or screws, and in certain cases – both brackets, and screws. |
3. For weakening of a tension of a gear belt weaken a bolt of fastening of the mechanism of a tension, then insert the special tool into a groove on the lever of the mechanism of a tension and for the tool turn the tension mechanism lever before weakening of a tension of a gear belt. If necessary remove the mechanism of a tension and check its state. |

Installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Install the tension mechanism on the engine and fix by a bolt, without tightening it it is final. |
2. Check that the ledge of the water pump is combined with a ledge on the block of cylinders. Otherwise weaken bolts of fastening of the water pump and turn the pump in such situation that ledges were combined. Tighten bolts of fastening of the water pump the required moment. |
3. Establish a gear belt and otregul to a ruyta its tension. |

Adjustment
Adjustment of a tension of a gear belt
|
1 – combination of the index for a new belt;
2 – installation of the index for the belt which was in the use on 4 mm to the left from the center of a groove |
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Weaken a bolt of fastening of the mechanism of a tension and move the tension mechanism lever counterclockwise against the stop to the limiter. Tighten a fastening bolt to fix the tension mechanism in this situation. |
2. Turn a bent shaft of the engine on two whole revolutions in the direction of working rotation and check that tags on a pulley of a bent shaft and the camshaft were combined with indexes. Weaken a bolt of fastening of the mechanism of a tension and turn the tension mechanism lever clockwise until the index is not combined with a cut in a tension mechanism arm. At installation of a new gear belt it several business hours will be earned extra. At installation of the belt which was in the use establish the index approximately on 4 mm on the left from the center of a groove (see rice. Adjustment of a tension of a gear belt). |
3. Tighten a bolt of fastening of the mechanism of a tension. Turn a bent shaft of the engine on 1 whole revolution in the direction of working rotation and check that adjusting tags on pulleys of cranked and distributive shaft were combined with indexes. Install all remained earlier removed details on the engine. |
4. After carrying out adjustment of a tension of a gear belt in the course of operation of the engine the tension of a gear belt will be automatically supported. |
