Removal

Extraction of a bolt of fastening of a support on back disk brakes

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. In the presence take off caps of wheels, then weaken bolts of fastening of back wheels. Lift a back part of the car and record on supports. Remove back wheels.

2. Remove brake shoes.

3. For reduction of losses of brake fluid uncover a popolnitelny tank of the brake system, close a tank mouth polyethylene and again screw a cover. It is necessary in order that the cover hermetically closed a popolnitelny tank. Alternatively, using a clip, press the brake hose going to a support.

4. Unscrew the connecting coupling, the fixing brake tube to a back part of a support and disconnect a brake tube. Be careful and do not deform a brake tube. Close openings in a support and a brake tube suitable traffic jams.

5. Unscrew two bolts and remove a support from the nave fastener, at the same time keep in mind that on models with DOHC engines bolts of fastening of a support also fix an arm of the sensor of anti-blocking system (see rice. Extraction of a bolt of fastening of a support on back disk brakes, the Arm of the ABS sensor which also fastens bolts of fastening of a support on models with DOHC engines).

Repair

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Observing care and security measures, clear a support of brake dust and dirt.

2. Do not unscrew bolts, the fixing both parts of a support to each other. In this case there can be a loss of tightness and the support will leak.

3. Using a screw-driver edge as the lever, remove a bracket of fastening of a dustproof cover of the piston, then, being careful, remove a dustproof cover.

4. Using a clip, fix one of pistons in a support. Giving air under low pressure through an opening for a brake hose, squeeze out the piston from a support. Be careful not to drop the piston as in this case most likely, it will be damaged.

5. Using wooden whetstone, close an opening in a support. Remove the clip fixing the piston in a support and, using compressed air under low pressure, squeeze out the second piston from a support.

6. Using the plastic or wooden tool, being careful, take sealing rings from flutes in the support cylinder.

7. Check a condition of pistons and cylinders. In the presence of scratches, рисок, wear or pointed corrosion it is necessary to replace the piston and the cylinder, and it means that it is necessary to replace a support assembled.

8. Check a condition of all details of a support and replace worn out or damaged. Irrespective of a state replace all rubber consolidations.

9. Wash out all details in methyl alcohol or pure brake fluid and wipe them. For a clearing of tubes and openings use compressed air.

10. Dip pistons and new sealing rings of pistons into brake fluid and apply a thin film of brake fluid on openings for pistons in a support.

11. Establish sealing rings in openings of cylinders of a support.

12. Install dustproof covers on pistons so that the internal diameter of a cover was included into a piston flute. Being careful and turning, insert the piston into a support.

13. Insert an external edge of a dustproof cover into a support before its fixing. Fix a dustproof cover by a bracket.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a support on the holder of a back nave and fix by bolts, having tightened them the required moment.

2. Connect a brake tube to a support and fix it by a connecting nut.

3. Establish brake shoes.

4. Remove polyethylene from a jellied mouth of a popolnitelny tank of the brake system and pump over the corresponding contour.

5. Establish a wheel and lower the car. Tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel.
