Removal

Detachment of wires from plugs on a back part of the DELCO-REMY generator

Grounding tire detachment from the top bolt of fastening of the generator

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.

2. For improvement of access disconnect the main air branch pipe from the air filter, an air chamber or the case of a throttle.

3. Mark and disconnect electric wires from a back part генерато ра (see rice. A detachment of wires from plugs on a back part of the DELCO-REMY generator).

4. Take off a driving belt of the generator.

5. Unscrew two bolts and nuts and remove washers and plugs, at the same time remember their arrangement. Note the place of fastening of the tire of grounding (see rice. A grounding tire detachment from the top bolt of fastening of the generator).

6. Remove the generator.

Installation

Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal taking into account the next moments...

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Fix the grounding tire by the top bolt of fastening of the generator.

2. Establish and adjust a tension of a driving belt of the generator.

GENERATORS OF A SMALL-SIZED SERIES

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.

2. For improvement of access remove an air inlet and the air filter.

3. If the driving belt of the generator is repeatedly established, chalk note the direction of its rotation.

4. Using a wrench, turn a roller of the automatic mechanism of a tension clockwise if to look on the right side of the car, and a zafiksa to its ruyta in this situation. After reduction of a tension of a driving belt remove it from pulleys and return the tension mechanism to a starting position.

5. Mark and disconnect electric wires from a back part of the generator.

6. Unscrew a bolt of the lower fastening of the generator. Weaken the top bolts of fastening of an arm of the generator to the engine.

7. Unscrew two bolts fixing the generator to arms, at the same time note an arrangement of bolts as they have various length. Remove the generator.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.

2. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. Tighten bolts of fastening of the generator the required moment and establish a driving belt.
