Body elements

Key with a bulb

Press a symbol. When falling brightness open a latch, replace the battery.

Fixing of doors

From within: press a clamp. The pressed clamp on an open door at its closing jumps out up.

If when closing a door the handle is wrung out, the clamp does not jump out up.

Blocking for children

Move the lever on the lock of a back door down: now the door cannot be opened from within. The door can be opened only outside if the clamp is not pressed.

Electronic blocking of launch of the engine

Prevents theft of the car thanks to electronic blocking of launch of the engine.

Inclusion: to switch off the engine, to turn a key in situation •.

Switching off: to turn a key in situation II (ignition is included), it is possible to start the engine.

At inclusion ignition during a short interval of time the control lamp of electronic devices of the engine shines (is absent in cars with the diesel engine). If this lamp at inclusion ignition blinks - the system is faulty and it is impossible to start the engine.

Before repeated attempt of launch of the engine, return a key to situation • also wait approximately during 2 sec.

If the engine after several attempts is not started, ask in an authorized workshop of Opel for the help.

If the control lamp of electronic devices of the engine is lit after its start-up, the system of electronic control by operation of the engine is faulty.

Electronic blocking of launch of the engine does not block a door. Therefore at an exit from the car always block locks of doors and turn on the device of the anticreeping alarm system.

All cars with electronic blocking of launch of the engine are supplied with the special passport in which all data on the car are specified. Do not leave this passport in the car at all.

At visit of authorized workshops of Opel show this passport.

Central blocking

Central blocking of doors, trunk lids, covers of the fuel tank.

Blocking: turn a key (in the lock of forward doors or trunk lids) or press a clamp (on the driver's door).

Unblocking: turn a key (in the lock of forward doors or trunk lids) or extend a clamp up (on one of forward doors).

The pressed clamp of an open door of the driver when closing jumps out up: all doors will be unblocked (protection from blocking).

If when closing the handle of a door is wrung out, the clamp does not jump out up.

The recorded doors will be unblocked at accident independently (for assistance outside) - a condition:

it is impossible to switch off ignition.

At an overload due to frequent inclusions through short periods of an elektropa the taniye on about 30 sec. will be interrupted.

At electronic control by windows, perhaps, closing of windows outside: hold a key in the provision of closing of a door until windows are not closed.

Mechanical anticreeping protection (on all doors)

Inclusion and switching off only at turn of a key in the lock of a door of the driver. Clamps of all doors are blocked from opening.

Do not block if in the car there are people! The unblocking is impossible from within.

And = Blocking: when closing a door of the driver slowly turn a key to the right in horizontal position, take out.

In = Unblocking: turn a key back through vertical position against the stop (any other measures it is impossible. therefore store a spare key in the reliable place!).

Trunk lid

It is blocked: at vertical position a vent in the lock.

It is unblocked: at horizontal position a vent in the lock.

The lock opens by pressing its head.

Prevention

The registration plate is distinguishable and according to instructions is lit only at the closed trunk lid. Therefore it is forbidden to go with an open trunk lid.

At installation original принадлеж nosty Opel on a trunk lid, its weight increases. If it does not keep in open situation any more, it is necessary to address in an authorized workshop of Opel for installation of the strengthened springs.

The central blocking, through a trunk lid

At horizontal position the vent of a head of a trunk lid occurs its blocking together with car doors and a cover of a tank.

Unblocking: a key in vertical position.

At an unblocking through one of forward doors the trunk lid remains blocked (except a case when the key was taken out from the trunk lid lock in horizontal position).

Unblocking

Turn a key to the right against the stop and transfer back to horizontal position.

All doors and cover of a tank will also be unblocked.

At the switched-on anti-theft device only the trunk lid will be unblocked.

Via the lock of a trunk lid it is impossible neither to include, nor to switch off the anti-theft device of control of doors.

If after an unblocking it is necessary to block again, then transfer a key to vertical position.

To provide a possibility of blocking and unblocking through forward doors, return a key to horizontal position.

Signaling anti-theft device

Inclusion and switching off together with the mechanical anti-theft device:

In = it is switched off

The signaling anti-theft device controls:

– doors, trunk lid, engine cowl;
– interior of the car;
– radio receiver;
– ignition and starter;
– the power-supply circuit of an anticreeping signal also interferes with start of the engine.

The integrated self-checking

After inclusion the system during about 10 sec. carries out an inspection. About malfunctions the system signals a blinking of a light-emitting diode (LED) in the ultrastar the kovy sensor from the forward passenger (above side glass, the shooter in the drawing). Address in an authorized workshop of Opel. Samodiagnosti provides bystry search of malfunctions.

Light-emitting diode (LED)

Within the first 10 seconds:

– check, an inclusion delay burns =
– the door blinks =, a luggage carrier are open or the system is faulty

about 10 seconds later:

– blinks = the device is switched on
– the comment of 1 sec. = switching off function burns

Inclusion with control of interior of the car:

– to close a window, the sliding hatch, doors, a luggage carrier and a cowl of the engine;
– turn on the signaling anti-theft device, LED burns about 10 sec.

After that the device is activated. LED continues to blink before switching off of the device. Inclusion without control of interior of the car:

– close a luggage carrier and a cowl of the engine;
– the key in the ultrasonic sensor from the driver (above side glass, the shooter in the drawing), LED blinks at most 10 sec.;
– close doors;
– turn on the signaling device, LED burns about 10 sec. After that the device is activated without control of salon (e.g. if in salon there are animals).

Opening and closing of a luggage carrier at the switched-on signaling anti-theft device:

And = to unblock, open a luggage carrier, to close,

In = to block, in 10 sec. control of a luggage carrier and salon will be activated again.

If blocking is not made, then later 10 sec. during opening the signal will be distributed.

Signal

During an inclusion phase ultrasonic sensors involve at most 3, other sensors — any quantity of signals. The signal is given.

– acoustic (siren, 30 sec.) and
– optical (blinking of a signal, 5 min.).

The signal is disconnected by switching off of the signaling device.

Expansion of the luggage compartment for transportation of long objects:

• a casing behind an average hand-rail: pull the lever, turn forward, or:

• remove head restraints by pressing the fixing springs. Hang up the lock of a seat belt on a back. A back on the right or at the left to a rasfiksiruyta by means of the button, put forward on sitting, at the return installation record before click, or:

• remove head restraints by pressing the fixing springs. Hang up the lock of a seat belt on a back. Tighten sitting on loops forward. A back on the right or at the left to a rasfiksiruyta by means of the button, put forward on sitting, at the return installation record before click.

Return installation of a back: remove a seat belt that it was not clamped from a back. Give back a back before the fixing click.

5-door Limousine: for transportation of high objects:

Remove a casing of a luggage carrier from a back door, take out, put and put for seatbacks.

Head restraints

Head restraints serve for safety. For expansion of a luggage carrier remove head restraints: unblock by pressing both fixing springs.

Engine cowl

Pull the unblocking handle under the dashboard from the driver. The cowl of the engine will be unblocked and will open with formation of a crack. Return the handle to a starting position.

Approximately at palm width distance to the left of the center of a cowl — if to look in front - on the lower surface of a cowl there is a safety capture: pull for it and open a cowl.

To enshrine a cowl in the open provision, insert located over a support cooler lattice in narrow longitudinal vents on the lower surface of a cowl.

Before closing of a cowl strongly press support in their holders. Release a cowl before its lowering in the lock.

Check fixing of a cowl, having pulled for its forward edge. If the cowl is not recorded, repeat the previous operation.

Lighter

At the included ignition press the button.

It is disconnected when the spiral begins to smolder. Extend the lighter.

Ashtray

Only for ashes, for the burning stubs it is not intended.

Ashtray ahead

To open: press a symbol, the ashtray will open.

Cleaning: take an insert down, clear and insert.

To close: lower a cover down.

Ashtray behind

For cleaning press a protective partition and lower an ashtray down.
