Removal

SOHC MODELS

Removal of the fuel level sensor on the SOHC models

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the fuel tank. Disconnect a hose from the fuel level sensor. Also disconnect a hose from internal connection of the block of the sensor and take the sensor block from the fuel tank (see rice. Removal of the fuel level sensor on the SOHC models).

DOHC MODELS

The special Opel KM-673 tool for removal of the fuel level sensor

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the fuel tank. Apply combination tags on the sensor and the fuel tank in order that the sensor could be installed correctly into place.
2. Using a steel core or the special Opel KM-673 tool, establish it in grooves of a lock ring of the sensor and having turned a lock ring, release the sensor (see rice. The special Opel KM-673 tool for removal of the fuel level sensor).
3. Being careful, take the block of the fuel level sensor from the fuel tank, at the same time do not bend the float lever.
4. Remove a sealing ring.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal taking into account the next moments.
2. Replace a sealing ring.
3. At installation of the sensor combine the adjusting tags put before removal.
4. Install the fuel tank.
