6.8. Fuel level sensor

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Through a fuel-filling mouth pump out fuel from the fuel tank.
3. Lift a back part of the car and record on supports.
4. The fuel level sensor is located on the right side of the fuel tank.
5. Using a marker or paint, put combination tags on the sensor and the fuel tank in order that the sensor could be installed in initial situation.
6. Disconnect a hose of supply of fuel from the fuel level sensor and close it a suitable stopper.
7. Disconnect the electric socket from the fuel level sensor.
8. Insert a steel core into grooves of a cover of the sensor and turn a cover counterclockwise.
9. Being careful, take the fuel level sensor from the fuel tank. At the same time do not bend the float lever.
10. Remove a sealing ring.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal taking into account the next moments. Check a condition of a sealing ring and, if necessary, replace it.
2. At installation of a cover of the fuel tank combine the tags put before removal.
3. Check correctness of connection of fuel hoses.
4. Fill in fuel in the fuel tank, start the engine and check fuel system for existence of leaks. Check correctness of work of the index of fuel. In the presence of leaks immediately switch off the engine and remove the cause of leaks.
