GENERAL INFORMATION
Prevention

For adjustment of turns of idling and contents WITH bypass мо to use a tachometer and the analyzer of exhaust gases.

Before check and adjustment of turns of idling and contents WITH perform the following operations:

– warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature;
– switch off everything electric consumers (the radiator fan, the fan of a heater, headlight, etc.);
– before check it is necessary to adjust a corner of an advancing of ignition and interelectrode gaps of spark plugs;
– check that the accelerator cable is correctly adjusted;
– check that the air filter pure and is absent an additional suction of air;
– on models with the automatic transmission install the selector lever in situation P

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Connect a tachometer and the analyzer of exhaust gases according to the instruction.
2. Start the engine and for 30 seconds increase turns to 2 000 rpm, then transfer the engine to the idling mode. · Check turns of idling and, if necessary, adjust the adjusting screw (see rice. Arrangement of the screw of adjustment of turns of idling).
3. After adjustment of turns of idling check contents WITH in exhaust gases. Adjustment of contents WITH is made by the screw of adjustment of quality of mix which is previously closed by a cap (see rice. An arrangement of the cap closing the screw of adjustment of quality of mix).
4. On models with the automatic transmission at installation of the lever of the selector in situation D whether at the same time all have to be switched off electric consume, turns of idling should not change. If turns of idling fall, it is necessary to address to specialized service station Opel.
5. After adjustment of contents WITH in exhaust gases modify idling turns.
6. If when carrying out adjustment the radiator fan turns on, wait until it is switched off and continue adjustment.
7. After carrying out adjustment switch off the engine and disconnect a tachometer and the analyzer of exhaust gases.
8. Establish a new cap, I close Shuya the screw of adjustment of quality of mix.
